Policies and Procedures
Policies at 蘑菇视频 are adopted by the Board of Trustees and serve as statements of principle to inform decision-making and the conduct of College activities.
Procedures are issued by the College President and set forth action steps required to carry out a Board policy and/or a standard method for implementing actions.
Our official policies and procedures are segmented out into ten chapters.

The modifications clarify and expand expectations for oversight, compliance, and stewardship by adding a purpose statement and emphasizing mission alignment, strengthening the Foundation’s role in approving and overseeing crowdfunding campaigns, and introducing new prohibitions and restrictions on the use of funds. The revised procedures provide a clearer structure with defined approval steps and accountability measures, including requirements that campaigns directly support the College’s mission, be led by a current employee, and be created only by authorized individuals. They further outline the Foundation’s consultative role in determining timing and strategy, require Foundation pre-approval of all design and messaging, and add a new post-campaign public summary report to enhance transparency and stewardship.

These procedures outline the College’s expectations for the responsible use of emerging technologies, including GenAI, emphasizing mission alignment, equity, data protection, legal compliance, and human accountability. They establish general requirements for safeguarding College data, ensuring accuracy and avoiding bias in generated outputs, disclosing AI use when it substantially informs a final product, and prohibiting harmful, deceptive, or unlawful applications. The procedures also require proper review and approval for acquiring or implementing technology tools; clarify user responsibilities for understanding best practices, protecting data, and seeking guidance when needed.

These modifications restructure and update both the policy and procedure to improve clarity, consistency with Maryland reporting law, and alignment with current College practices. Key updates include expanded definitions, clarification of scope and applicability, clearer articulation of internal and external reporting obligations, refined guidance on responding to disclosures, more details about criminal background check requirements for employees, volunteers, and outside groups, and an overhauled program registration section with clarified exemptions, staffing expectations, and approval processes. Additional modifications expand guidance on children in classrooms and workplaces. All changes emphasize safety, accountability, transparency, and procedural consistency across all units interacting with minors.
